Cultivating Community:

The 2nd Annual Goodies Grow Cup

Welcome, fellow cannabis cultivators and enthusiasts! I am eager to kick off the second installment of our Goodies Grow Cup, a cultivation competition like no other, as we embark on this journey of cannabis cultivation in an environment of friendly competition while celebrating the art, science, and passion that goes into growing cannabis. I can not wait to see what outcomes we will have in this edition of the Goodies Grow Cup.

A Celebration of Green Ingenuity:

The Goodies Grow Cup isn’t your standard grow competition. Our goal is to help cultivate a community of growers from all walks of life. Whether you’re a seasoned cultivator with years of experience or a novice eager to test your green thumb, this event is your chance to shine. Once welcomed into our online community, you will have access to growers of all levels, providing vast resources to tap into and adapt to your growth. As we all help cheer you on from the moment you receive your seed to the days of trimming after a successful harvest, the Goodies Grow Cup is a testament to the passion and dedication cultivators bring to the cannabis community.

Nurturing Growth in a Virtual Community:

With a core focus on developing and curing the following great growers and genetics in the industry, the best method for that is to share the wealth of cannabis cultivation knowledge available. We incorporate the Right of the Leaf discord server as our home base for growing journals, competition updates, and overall community engagement. Collective wisdom within this community is the backbone of this cannabis cultivation competition.

Welcome to the Right of the Leaf Discord Server

Our organizers will provide each participant with a dedicated thread (within the discord server) for their unique grow journal, seek advice and ask any pertinent questions along the way. Upon registration, you will receive an invitation to your dedicated thread within the Right of the Leaf Discord Server and begin to connect with fellow growers, competitors and cannabis enthusiasts. As you share your progress with everyone, the support, tips, and advice you send will help everyone achieve a final product they can be proud to submit for judging. It’s about coming together as a community to learn, grow, and celebrate our shared passion for the cannabis plant.

Sowing Seeds of Success:

Once registration is confirmed and we have received all the required information, it is time to get to work. Each Grower will receive one package of 10 seeds that could be any of the following 3 Genetics from Garafraxa Goodies. (Preferences will be significantly considered:)

  1. Garafraxa Funk F2
  2. Sour Apple Runtz S1 x Garafraxa Funk
  3. Guicy Zane F2

Your mission is to nurture these seeds into thriving cannabis plants, carefully tending to their needs and coaxing them to reach their full potential. Be aware, however, that since these are all regular cannabis seeds, you will have to keep a watchful eye on any male plants. These are easy to identify and separate with support from the other growers in our community.

But here’s the twist: you’re not just growing cannabis; you’re growing a masterpiece. As you nurture your plants, look for that one remarkable phenotype that stands out from the rest. When submitting your entry, you’ll showcase the cream of the crop- the best flower that epitomizes your skill, dedication, and love for the craft.

For any new grower that feels overwhelmed and unsure of the steps dont worry, both of our organizers will be working together to provide the support and information needed. Trevor – Right of the Leaf will be working on both written and video-focused content for you all to have as a point of reference for this grow cup and any future problems you may have. Mike – Garafraxa Goodies will be working on the newest batch of genetics that we could be working with next year and will be helping with real-time support in Discord. Both of us are available to answer questions and problem-solve with the competitors. Be sure to tag us on Discord, and we will get back to you if the community hasn’t helped you.

Celebrating Diversity in Cultivation:

Whether you prefer the controlled indoor growing environment or the wild beauty of outdoor cultivation, the Goodies Grow Cup welcomes growers of all stripes. Every method and environment has unique charm and challenges, from closet grows to backyard gardens, from high-tech grow rooms to sun-drenched fields. As we focus on providing high-quality information and support by both the growers and organizers, the variety of these growing environments will help showcase the full potential of these genetics.

To honour the diversity of cultivation methods, we’ll award smaller-tier prizes for the best indoor and sun-grown cannabis entries. So, whether you’re a master of the grow tent or a champion of the great outdoors, there’s a place for you in this green revolution. I can not wait to see how people will adapt to this year’s outdoor growing season or optimize their indoor gardens for this competition. I wish you all the best of luck and success in this year’s growing season.

Submitting Your Masterpiece:

After taking the time to harvest and cure the buds that you have grown, it is time to select the phenotype that you feel will score the best with our panel of judges. You could discover one or more great tasting and smoking options depending on how many of the ten seeds you germinate and grow. You will have to narrow it down and submit the one you feel is the strongest.

When submitting your entry, please package at least 28 grams of flower for judging purposes. A full ounce of flower ensures our expert judges have plenty of buds to evaluate and appreciate. Of course, we understand that only some growers will have a bumper crop, so the minimum submission requirement is 14 grams.

All submissions must reach our designated PO Box (details provided after registration) by Friday, December 6, 2024. This deadline allows outdoor growers ample time to harvest, dry, and cure their entries to perfection.

Join the Green Revolution:

As we embark on this epic journey of green exploration, we invite you to celebrate the magic of cannabis cultivation. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a curious newcomer, the Goodies Grow Cup has something for everyone. So, roll up your sleeves, dig in the dirt, and make this year’s competition one for the history books.
